Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an institution or university recognized by AICTE or UGC. Degrees awarded by institutions established by an Act of Parliament or recognized under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 are acceptable.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in relevant discipline. Training, internships, academic or research experience (PhD/Fellowship) will not be counted.
• Minimum Marks: UR/EWS candidates and those applying against unreserved posts must have minimum 60% marks or equivalent. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD) must have at least 50% marks.
• Age Limit: 40 years (as on 30.11.2025)
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years (in addition to category relaxation)

Pay Scale and Benefits

The selected candidates will receive Basic Pay and DA, fixed/variable allowances @ 23% of Basic Pay, HRA/Lease, Contribution to PF, and Gratuity as per Payment of Gratuity Act. Other benefits include leave, maternity leave, medical facility, accident/death insurance, and leave encashment as per company rules for contractual employees.

Note:

• SC/ST/PwBD candidates applying for unreserved posts must pay the full fee initially; refunds will be made after participation in the written exam/interview, deducting taxes or bank charges.
• Only online payments are accepted. Applications without successful fee payment will be rejected.

Selection Process

1. Written Test: 125 objective type questions, 1 mark each, 2.5 hours duration. No negative marking. PwBD candidates are eligible for an additional 50 minutes of compensatory time.
   • Qualifying marks: UR/EWS – 50%, SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD – 45%
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates (1:6 ratio) will appear for interview. Weightage:
   • Written Test: 60%
   • Interview: 40% (Technical & Professional proficiency – 30%, Personality, Communication & Competency – 10%)

   Minimum qualifying marks in interview: UR/EWS – 60%, SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD – 50%

3. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must be medically fit as per RITES Rules and Standards of Medical Fitness.

Selection may be conducted from RITES Regional Offices, and details will be mentioned in call letters. Candidates can appear for the selection process in Hindi or English.

Test Centres

*All centres except Delhi/Gurgaon are tentative and depend on the number of applicants. Candidates will provide two preferences while applying.

1. Apply online through the Career Section of RITES website.
2. Note the generated Registration Number for all communications.
3. Upload all required documents (DOB, educational, category, identity, experience proofs, etc.) in clear, visible format.
4. Make online payment and download the final application form for records.
5. No hard copies are to be sent to the office.
6. Reserved category candidates must upload valid certificates as per prescribed format before the last date.
7. Incomplete or inaccurate applications will be rejected.

General Instructions

• Management reserves the right to modify, alter, or cancel the recruitment process at any stage without notice.
• Departmental or government employees must join only after being properly relieved from their parent organization.
• Candidates must verify their eligibility before applying; if found ineligible later, candidature will be cancelled.
