Eligibility Criteria

Enumerator / Field Investigator cum Mapper

Essential Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or any other relevant field.
• 1–2 years of experience in community settings or community-based research projects.
• Knowledge of geotagging software and mapping tools.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in data entry and mapping of villages or community areas.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to work in community-based research settings during fieldwork phases.

Enumerator / Field Investigator

Qualification and Experience

• Postgraduate degree in Social Science, Public Health, Nutrition and Dietetics, or other related fields.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to work in research community settings during phases of field work.
• Minimum one year of experience in a health-based setting.
• Experience in Maternal and Child Health will be preferred.
• Fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, and English.

Desirable Qualifications

• Prior experience in fieldwork or community-based research.
• Experience of working in rural communities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting of applications submitted by candidates.
2. Interview of shortlisted candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Enumerator / Field Investigator cum Mapper

• Conduct field-based data collection activities as per the project protocol.
• Ensure that research protocols and ethical standards are strictly followed during data collection.
• Perform geotagged mapping of villages and community areas using appropriate software or tools.
• Maintain accurate and organized data records.
• Undertake data entry and verification when required.
• Submit daily progress reports to the Research Coordinator.
• Support the research team in field coordination and documentation.

Enumerator / Field Investigator

• Screening and enrolling study participants.
• Taking informed consent from parents or participants.
• Conduct field-based data collection activities according to the project protocol.
• Ensure research protocols and ethical standards are followed.
• Submit daily progress reports to the Research Coordinator.
• Support the research team in field coordination and documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized data records.
• Fill and submit the weekly timesheet signed by the Principal Investigator in the office.

Reporting Structure

The Enumerator / Field Investigator cum Mapper will report directly to the Site Coordinator and will work in coordination with the project team.

Terms and Conditions

• The post is purely temporary. Employment will automatically terminate upon completion or termination of the project.
• There is no liability for permanent employment on the part of PGIMER Chandigarh, the Principal Investigator, or the funding agency.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called or informed for the interview.
• The date, time, and venue of the interview will be notified to candidates via email or SMS.
