About the Organization

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is a fully owned institution of the Government of India. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for preparing a panel to fill up the post of Bank’s Medical Officer (BMO) on contract basis for three dispensaries located under the Karnataka Regional Office, Bengaluru.

Working Hours and Remuneration

Eligibility Criteria

MBBS degree in Allopathic system from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India.
Candidates with Post Graduate degree in General Medicine may also apply.
Minimum 02 years experience as Medical Practitioner in hospital or clinic.
Working knowledge of computers.
Applicant must have own dispensary or residence within 3 to 5 kilometers radius from any of the Bank’s dispensary locations mentioned.

Selection Procedure

Interview conducted by NABARD for selection of panel of Medical Officers on contract basis.
Bank reserves the right to raise minimum eligibility standards to limit number of candidates called for interview.
Shortlisted candidates must undergo medical examination or submit Medical Fitness Certificate as per prescribed norms.
Final appointment subject to medical fitness and acceptance of Terms and Conditions (Annexure I).

Application must be submitted in prescribed format (Annexure III).
Attested copies of age proof, educational qualifications, medical registration, caste certificate, experience certificates must be attached.
If currently working as Medical Officer in any institution, details and working hours must be indicated.

Terms and Conditions

Initial engagement for five years, extendable in blocks of five years by mutual agreement.
Beyond 70 years and up to 75 years, renewal may be done annually subject to review and medical fitness.
One month notice required by either side for termination.
No residential accommodation will be provided by the Bank.
Substitute doctor arrangement must be made at own cost during absence.
Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding NABARD’s affairs.
May be required to attend dispensary on non-working days in case of office exigencies.
Bank reserves right to terminate contract without notice in case of breach of terms or unsatisfactory performance.
