CSIR-NEERI Recruitment 2026 for Project Associate-I – Walk-in Interview

CSIR – National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI) has released an official advertisement for engagement of project staff on a purely temporary basis. Eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview for the post of Project Associate-I under a CSIR project at Nagpur.

The recruitment is being conducted for the project titled “Project Monitoring and Evaluation Strategies and Framework Development for Projects at CSIR-NEERI (OLP-70)”. The engagement will be purely temporary and co-terminus with the project duration. Salary Structure

For candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET lectureship / Assistant Professorship or GATE or National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT / DST or equivalent agencies	₹31,000 per month + HRA

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a B.E. or B.Tech degree from a recognized university in one of the following disciplines.

Civil Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Computer Science Engineering (CSE)

Administrative and monitoring tasks related to the project

Important Terms and Conditions

The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Engagement does not provide any right for regularization against any CSIR or CSIR-NEERI post.
Project staff tenure cannot exceed the maximum period defined by CSIR guidelines.
Candidates must have obtained the essential qualification and results must have been declared.
Candidates awaiting final semester results or those who have submitted PhD but not received the degree are not eligible.
Experience will be counted only after acquiring the essential qualification.
Time spent acquiring higher qualification will not be counted as experience.
Meeting minimum qualification does not guarantee being called for interview.
Preference may be given by the Screening Committee if a large number of applications are received.
Selected candidates must join within the time frame mentioned in the offer letter.
Candidates must sign an undertaking to maintain confidentiality of project findings and intellectual property.
Project engagement depends on project duration and performance.
The project staff may be terminated by giving one month notice.
Candidates leaving the assignment must provide one month notice or salary in lieu of notice.
Project staff must arrange their own accommodation during tenure.
HRA will be provided as per applicable rules.
No TA will be provided for attending the interview.
All other terms and conditions will follow CSIR guidelines for project personnel engagement.
