चमोली जिले के कर्णप्रयाग ग्वालदम मोटर मार्ग पर एक बोलेरो अनियंत्रित होकर खाई में गिर गया। इस हादसे में तीन लोगों की मौत की खबर सामने आ रही है। जबकि चालक घायल बताया जा रहा है। मिली जानकारी के मुताबिक ये हादसा कर्णप्रयाग ग्वालदम मोटर मार्ग पर घनियाल धार के पास हुआ है। इस घटना में आठ लोग घायल हैँ। जिन्हें स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र थराली ले जाया जा रहा है।

हरिद्वार कांवड़ यात्रा में आने वाले कांवड़ियों की संख्या चार करोड़ के पार पहुंच गई है। शुक्रवार शाम तक जल भरने वाले कांवड़ियों की संख्या तीन करोड़ 97 लाख से अधिक थी। इसके बाद से कांवड़ तीर्थयात्रियों के आने और जाने का सिलसिला जारी है। दिन पर दिन जल लेने आने वाले कांवड़ियों की संख्या में बढ़ोतरी हो रही है।

टिहरी-घनसाली रोड पर नंदगांव के पास गदेरा पार करते समय दो कांवड़ियों पर पहाड़ी से अचानक मलबा आ गिरा। बताया जा रहा है कि दोनों यात्री मेरठ के हैं और वे गंगोत्री से केदारनाथ जा रहे थे। हादसे में एक युवक सकुशल है। वहीं, दूसरा खाई में गिरने से लापता हो गया है। एसडीआरएफ की टीम ने मौके पर पहुंचकर रेस्क्यू कर बाहर निकाला, तब तक युवक की मौत हो चुकी थी।

सीएम धामी ने सचिवालय में राज्य के विभिन्न शहरों में नवीन टाउनशिप विकसित किए जाने के संबंध में बैठक की। सीएम ने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि हरिद्वार-ऋषिकेश गंगा कॉरिडोर बनाने की कार्यवाही शीघ्र शुरू की जाए। सीएम ने निर्देश दिए कि राज्य में मैदानी क्षेत्रों में 05 व पर्वतीय क्षेत्रों में 03 टाउनशिप विकसित किए जाने की दिशा में भी तेजी से कार्य किये जाएं।
