शासन ने उत्तराखंड में सार्वजनिक अवकाश के संबंध में आदेश जारी किया है। उत्तराखंड में लोकसभा चुनाव 2024 के तहत पहले चरण में मतदान किए जाएंगे। जारी किए आदेश में कहा गया है कि 19 अप्रैल को लोकसभा चुनाव मतदान के तहत प्रदेश के उद्योग इकाई, समस्त शासकीय और अशासकीय कार्यालयों, शैक्षणिक संस्थानों, कारखानों पर एक दिवसीय सार्वजनिक अवकाश घोषित किया है।

19 अप्रैल को उत्तराखंड में होगा सार्वजनिक अवकाश

The government has issued an order regarding public holidays in Uttarakhand. Voting will be held in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Uttarakhand. जानकारी के मुताबिक अल्मोड़ा जिले के तहसील के चनौदा, बूंगा निवासी सैनिक कमल सिंह भाकुनी (24) 16 कुमाऊं रेजीमेंट मणिपुर में तैनात थे। ड्यूटी के दौरान कमल को संदिग्ध हालात में गोली लग गई। इस घटना में वो शहीद हो गए। घटना की जानकारी के बाद से प्रदेश में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई है। कमल सिंह भाकुनी चार साल पहले ही सेना में भर्ती हुए थे। 25 दिन पहले ही वो छुट्टी के बाद ड्यूटी पर पहुंचे थे।

पिथौरागढ़ पुलिस द्वारा चैकिंग/छापेमारी कर 05 लोगों को सार्वजनिक स्थान में हार- जीत की बाजी लगाकर जुआ खेलते हुए गिरफ्तार किया गया। जुए के फड़ से 01 ताश की गड्डी व 6,300 रु0 नगद बरामद किये गए। अभियुक्तगणों के विरूद्ध कोतवाली धारचूला में धारा-13 सार्वजनिक जुआ अधिनिमय के अन्तर्गत अभियोग पंजीकृत किया गया।
