Base Salary Summary

Monthly salary ranges from ₹24,000 to ₹77,000 plus applicable HRA, depending on the designation and qualifications. NET/GATE qualified candidates are eligible for higher emoluments.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Graduate, Diploma, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in relevant disciplines such as Wildlife Science, Zoology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Marine Biology, Geoinformatics, Law, or Engineering from a recognized institution or university.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Relevant field or research experience in biodiversity conservation, ecological research, GIS, conservation policy, environmental law, or species management.
  • For Legal Position: Integrated BA LLB or MA LLB degree with registration in the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council.

Selection Process

  1. Screening and shortlisting will be based on academic qualifications, percentage of marks, specialization relevance, and research or work experience.
  2. A maximum of 10 shortlisted candidates per advertised post will be called for an online interview.
  3. Weightage Criteria:
    • Project Assistant – 25 marks (degree) + 25 marks (relevance)
    • Project Associate I – 25 marks (post-graduation) + 25 marks (relevance)
    • Senior / Scientist Category – NET + PG Marks + Experience + Publications = 50 marks total
  4. Final selection will be made by a duly constituted Selection Committee.
  5. Results of selected candidates will be published in the “Announcements” section of the Institute’s website.
