Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

The candidate must possess an MBBS degree recognized by the Indian Medical Council (IMC).
The candidate must have at least 10 years of medical practice experience in a Government, Military, or Quasi-Government hospital.
The candidate must be not below 35 years of age. Age may be relaxed in the case of exceptionally qualified candidates.
The requirement of 10 years’ hospital experience may be relaxed in cases where the candidate has 15 years of private medical practice of repute.

Desirable Qualifications

A Postgraduate Degree in any branch of Medical Science OR
A Diploma in Public and Tropical Medicine.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 35 years
Age Relaxation: Applicable for exceptionally qualified candidates as per University norms.

Reservation Details

Reservation will be strictly followed as per the rules of the Government of West Bengal.

Reservation benefits can be claimed only from the candidate’s State of origin.
Reservation benefits cannot be claimed from a State to which the candidate has migrated.

Candidates currently employed in Central Government, State Government, Government-aided Universities or Colleges, Central/State PSUs, or Semi-Government organizations must apply through a proper channel.
Such candidates must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer at the time of the interview.
