Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility differs by position. The notification includes the following qualification categories:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Natural Sciences / Agricultural Sciences / Forestry Sciences
• Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree under National Education Policy in relevant disciplines
• Master’s Degree in Wildlife Science, Zoology, Ecology, Marine Sciences, Marine Biology, Environmental Sciences, Geoinformatics, Life Sciences, Fisheries Science and related fields
• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science, Information Technology, Remote Sensing, GIS, Data Science, AI Technology, Electronics, Electrical, Communication and related fields
• Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science / Master’s Degree in Veterinary Sciences for applicable posts
• Doctoral Degree in relevant field for Project Scientist and certain senior-level positions
• Relevant research or work experience for higher-level positions such as Project Associate-II, Senior Project Associate, Principal Project Associate and Project Scientist-I
• NET/GATE qualification is required for higher pay in some positions

Selection Process

• Shortlisting will be done for online interview.
• Screening may consider essential qualification, age limit, marks, specialization relevance, research or work experience, and publications.
• Top 10 shortlisted candidates for each advertised project/position will be called for interview.
• A duly constituted Selection Committee will conduct the recruitment process.
• Original documents / certificates must be produced at the time of joining for verification.

• Centre on World Natural Heritage Management and Training for Asia and the Pacific Region
• Understanding the movements and nesting beach dynamics of olive ridley sea turtles along the Odisha coast
• Conservation and long-term monitoring of Sea Turtles of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands with special focus on the Leatherback Sea Turtle
• Identifying effective wildlife management interventions for replication
• Long-term research and conservation interventions in and around Tiger Reserves of Odisha
• Genetic database of the rhino horn stockpile of Assam to curb poaching threat and assess temporal changes in genetic variation
• Assessment of Wildlife Values and the Impact of Water Submergence on the habitat of Gharial upstream from the Sadrapur Barrage construction site across Yamuna River up to National Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary, Uttar Pradesh
• Conservation and management plan of Saltwater Crocodile in Great Nicobar Island
• Preparation of Wildlife Mitigation / Management Plan for the Yettinahole Drinking Water Project in Hassan and Tumkur Districts, Karnataka
• Conservation Plan for the Critically Endangered White Bellied Heron and its habitats in the Lohit River and Noa-Dehing River Basins
• Geospatial Analysis of the Impacts of Lower Demwe Hydroelectric Project on the Riverine Ecosystems of Lohit Basin
• Preparation of Comprehensive Site-Specific Wildlife Management Plan for Sijimali Bauxite Mines in Rayagada Forest Division & Kalahandi (South) Forest Division, Odisha
• Rangewide Estimation of River Dolphin - 2nd Cycle

General Terms and Important Notes

• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
• Applicants must enter educational details strictly as per mark sheets.
• Incomplete applications without proof of age, educational qualification, experience, photograph, signature, fee receipt, or other required documents are liable to be rejected.
• Candidates currently working in WII projects or research activity, and Ph.D. scholars, must attach a recent No Objection Certificate not older than one month from the last date of application.
• Mere fulfilment of minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview call.
• At verification or even after selection, if any concealment, misrepresentation or canvassing is found, candidature may be rejected or terminated.
• Advertised positions are purely temporary and will stand abolished after completion of the project.
• Candidates not found suitable for a higher advertised position may be considered for a lower grade post based on the Interview Committee recommendation.
• The Institute’s rules and regulations will govern project tenure and code of conduct.
