Reservation Details
- Reservation is provided for various categories as per Government of India norms.
- PwBD Reservation: Hearing Impaired (HI) – 9 seats, Orthopedic/Locomotor Disability (OC) – 2 seats, Visual Impairment (VI) – 1 seat.
- Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) is horizontal within the overall vacancies and governed by The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
- OBC candidates must possess a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued between 01-04-2025 and the date of document verification.
- No reservation is available for Ex-Servicemen or Disabled Ex-Servicemen.
Eligibility Criteria (as on 01-10-2025)
Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of settling in India and has a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate degree from any recognized University or Institute approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
- Graduation must be completed on or after 01-04-2021 with valid mark sheets and degree certificate.
Age Limit
- Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 01-10-2025 (i.e., born between 02-10-1997 and 01-10-2005 inclusive).
- Age Relaxations:

Language Proficiency
Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding any one of the local languages of the selected State / UT. Those who have studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard are exempted from the language test.
Training Details
- Total duration of training – one year from the date of contract.
- Training hours – same as clerical staff of the Bank.
- Apprentices are not entitled to any employment benefits and are not considered as Bank employees.
Application Process
- Register on the NATS Portal at https://nats.education.gov.in under “Student Register/Login”.
- Apply for the UCO Bank Apprenticeship Program FY 2025-26 through the portal.
- Eligible candidates will receive an email from BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (info@bfsissc.com) to submit details and pay exam fees at https://bfsissc.com.
- Upload photograph, signature, and relevant documents as per instructions.
- Verify all details before submission — no changes allowed later.
- Only online applications are accepted — no hard copies to be sent.
- Candidates must use a valid personal email ID and mobile number throughout the process.

Fees once paid will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances. Only online payment mode is accepted.
Selection Process
1. Online Test (Objective Type)
The online test will be conducted by the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI SSC) and will consist of the following sections:

Duration of exam – 60 minutes. 5% aggregate relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.
2. Merit List
Merit list will be prepared State-wise and Category-wise in descending order of marks. In case of a tie, the older candidate will be placed higher.
3. Language Test
The local language test will be conducted at the document verification stage (if required). Candidates failing this test will not be engaged as apprentices.
4. Medical Fitness
Engagement of selected candidates is subject to being declared medically fit as per Bank requirements.
5. Wait List
The Bank may declare a wait list at its discretion in case of non-reporting or non-acceptance by selected candidates.
Other Terms and Conditions
- Candidates who have already undergone Apprenticeship training with UCO Bank or any other organization are not eligible.
- Candidates having job experience of one year or more after graduation are not eligible.
- Apprentices shall be trainees only and not employees of the Bank. No law related to labor applies to them.
- No right to claim employment in Bank after completion of training.
- No hostel or transport facility will be provided during training.
- Any false information or multiple applications will lead to rejection and legal action.
- All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Courts in Kolkata only.
- All further announcements / corrigenda will be published only on the Bank’s official website.
