State Bank of India invites online applications from Indian citizens for engagement of retired officials of SBI and other Public Sector Banks (PSBs), including Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), for the posts of Financial Literacy Counsellors (FLC) and FLC Directors on contractual basis. Contract Period: Minimum 1 year and maximum 3 years or until attaining the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier. Initial contract may be for 2 years, renewable for 1 additional year based on performance and subject to attainment of 65 years of age.

Age Limit (As on 31.01.2026)

Minimum Age: 60 Years
Maximum Age: 63 Years
Candidate must have been born not earlier than 01.02.1963 and not later than 31.01.1966 (both inclusive).
No age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates.
Maximum age during engagement shall not exceed 65 years.

Monthly Remuneration (Fixed for 3 Years)

Remuneration is all-inclusive and without prejudice to pension. Income Tax/TDS will be deducted as per prevailing rules.

Eligibility Criteria

For SBI Retired Officials

Must have retired on superannuation at age 60.
Officials voluntarily retired, resigned, suspended, dismissed or left before superannuation are not eligible.
No punishment/penalty (Censure or higher) in last five years of service before retirement.
No pending CBI or law enforcement cases.
Good track record and integrity.
Must be medically fit and not suffering from major ailments.

For Other PSBs/RRBs Retired Officers

Must have retired on superannuation at age 60.
Officers retired in Scale I to IV (Counsellor) and Scale III & IV (Director).
Sufficient work experience and professional competence.
Domain expertise as required for the assignment.
Must maintain good health.

Essential Skills: Proficiency in local language (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) and working knowledge of computers. Candidate must possess a Smart Mobile Phone.

Selection Process

Shortlisting based on eligibility and experience.
Interview (100 Marks).
Qualifying marks in interview decided by the Bank.
Merit list prepared circle-wise and category-wise based on interview marks only.
In case of tie, candidate older in age will be ranked higher.
