Punjab & Sind Bank, Zonal Office Delhi-I, invites applications for the engagement of a Physiotherapist on a contractual basis. The position offers an opportunity for qualified and experienced professionals to provide physiotherapy services to the staff of the Bank at its Delhi Zonal Office.

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Educational Qualification: The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University. Preference will be given to candidates holding a postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physiotherapist in any hospital or clinic is required.

Working Days, Hours, and Contract Period

Working Days Any 2 working days per week, as decided by the appointing authority based on the convenience of staff.
Working Hours 2 hours per day.
Period of Contract Initially for 2 years. The contract may be extended by 2 years on retainer-ship basis after review, if performance is found satisfactory.
Termination Clause The contract may be terminated with 2 months’ notice from either side.

Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Assessing staff’s physical, communication, and cognitive skills to develop an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Providing advice and support for family members of staff and caregivers.
  • Helping staff participate in everyday activities according to their physical conditions.
  • Assisting in exercises for pain relief and functional recovery.
  • Reviewing progress periodically and adapting treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintaining records, preparing reports, and performing administrative tasks related to treatment.
  • Implementing physical and psychological assessments using appropriate methods.
  • Assessing workplace and home environments and recommending necessary adjustments.
  • Advising staff on appropriate equipment to aid daily activities.
  • Developing and administering rehabilitation programs for physical and motor skill recovery.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable acts, laws, and Bank policies while providing physiotherapy services.
  • Maintaining continued competence and up-to-date knowledge in the field of physiotherapy.

Selection Process

  1. All applications will be scrutinized by the Bank.
  2. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email and called for an interview.
  3. Final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
  4. An engagement letter will be issued by email to the selected candidate.
  5. If the selected candidate declines the offer, the next candidate in order of merit from the waiting list will be offered the position.

Other Terms and Conditions

  • In case of continuous absence exceeding 2 days, the Physiotherapist must arrange a suitable substitute at their own cost, acceptable to the Bank.
  • No benefits such as leave, leave fare concession, provident fund, gratuity, bonus, medical reimbursement, or other terminal benefits shall be applicable.
  • The engagement is purely temporary and does not confer any right to regular employment or parity with regular staff.
  • The Bank reserves the right to alter duty hours, remuneration, or location as per administrative needs.
  • The Physiotherapist must maintain strict confidentiality regarding the Bank’s affairs and client details.
  • They shall serve the Bank faithfully and courteously at all times.
  • Any act of sexual harassment or misconduct at the workplace will lead to termination.
  • The contract is liable to termination if the Physiotherapist is arrested for debt, criminal charge, or detained under any law.
  • All disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of courts where the Zonal Office is located.
  • The Physiotherapist must bring their own basic physiotherapy equipment necessary for treatment of staff.
