Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Graduate or Post Graduate in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent from a recognized Institution or University.
• Foreign qualifications must be supported by equivalency certificate from Competent Authority.

Post-Qualification Experience

• Minimum 20 years of post-qualification Executive experience in the power sector.
• Experience in Load Despatch Centre, Generation, Transmission, or Distribution of electricity.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with Central/State Government Power Utilities.
• Experience with Electricity Regulatory Commission.
• Preference for retired officials from Govt./PSU/Autonomous/Statutory Bodies in Electrical Engineering field.

Knowledge & Skills Required

• Knowledge in System Operation, Market Operation, Generation and Transmission.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in coordination with Government organizations for information/data collection and analysis.
• Working knowledge of English and Hindi language.

2. Attach self-attested copies of required documents.
3. Superscribe the envelope as “APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF CONSULTANT (NPMC)”.
4. Send to: Manager (HR-Recruitment), Grid Controller of India Limited, Corporate Centre, 9th Floor, IFCI Tower, 61, Nehru Place, Delhi – 110019.
5. Application must reach by 09.03.2026.

Selection Process

• Applications will be scrutinized by the Selection Committee.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
• Decision of Selection Committee will be final.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview.
• Medical fitness certificate required before engagement.

Compensation & Benefits

• Monthly consolidated professional fee of Rs. 1,68,000/-.
• TDS deducted as per Income Tax Rules.
• 10 days leave per calendar year.
• Working hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (5 days a week).
• May be required to work on holidays without extra payment.
• TA/DA and accommodation as per E-8 level for official tours.
• No employee benefits applicable.

General Terms & Conditions

• Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
• Engagement purely contractual and does not confer right for regular appointment.
• GRID-INDIA reserves the right to increase/decrease posts.
• Applications received after due date will not be considered.
• Legal jurisdiction: NCT of Delhi.
• Consultant must maintain integrity, secrecy, and professionalism.
• Engagement subject to termination with one month notice or fee in lieu.
