The Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Hooghly, Government of West Bengal, has released a recruitment notification (Memo No. 8599, dated 15/10/2025) inviting eligible candidates for a Walk-in Interview for the post of Medical Technologist (Optometry) under the “Chokher Alo” Programme on a contractual basis. Remuneration

Educational Qualification / Eligibility Criteria

Passed H.S. (10+2) Examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Completed a two-year Diploma course in Medical Technology (Optometry) recognized by the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal or West Bengal Para Medical Council, or conducted by any recognized institution affiliated with a recognized university.
OR, a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (Optometry) from any institution/university recognized by the Government of West Bengal.
OR, a one-year Diploma course in the concerned subject in Medical Technology (where basic qualification for undergoing the course is B.Sc. Pure/Bio) offered by the West Bengal State Medical Faculty or any recognized university.
