Application Process

Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise)

1. Scientific Assistant–B (Medical Laboratory Technician)

Essential Qualification: B.Sc. with 50% marks and 1-year Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT/MLT) with 60% marks OR B.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology with 50% marks.
Desirable: 2 years’ experience in a research or similar laboratory.
Age Limit: 18–40 years (Gen–PwBD), 43 years (OBC–PwBD), 45 years (SC/ST–PwBD) as on 17.12.2025.

2. Scientific Assistant–B (Clinical Psychologist)

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Clinical Psychology with minimum 50% marks.
Age Limit: 18–35 years (ST category) as on 17.12.2025.

3. Junior Hindi Translator

Essential Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as main subject at degree level OR
- Master’s degree in any subject with Hindi & English as main subjects OR
- Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects with a Diploma/Certificate in Translation OR
- Two years’ translation experience (Hindi ↔ English) in government offices.
Age Limit: 18–28 years (UR) as on 17.12.2025.

Reservation Details

Includes one backlog vacancy (PwBD). Reservation benefits are applicable to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD categories as per Government of India norms.

OBC candidates must possess a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate as on the closing date.
EWS candidates must possess a valid Income & Asset Certificate as on the closing date.

Selection Process

For Post Code 01 & 02 (Scientific Assistant–B)

Stage-I: Trade Test (Qualifying in nature)
Stage-II: Written Test (60% weightage; minimum 30% qualifying marks)
Stage-III: Personal Interview (40% weightage; no cut-off marks)

For Post Code 03 (Junior Hindi Translator)

Stage-I: Objective Written Test (50% weightage) – General Hindi, English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude
Stage-II: Descriptive Test (50% weightage) – Translation (Hindi ↔ English) and Essay Writing in both languages

Minimum Qualifying Marks: 30% in each stage.

Other Important Information

Examination and interview will be conducted at NISER Campus, Jatni, Khurda, Odisha.
Candidates already employed in Government/PSU organizations must apply through proper channel or submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Recruitment records will not be preserved beyond six months after the result declaration.
