Nature of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attachment to dedicated BRICS Working Groups such as Trade, Industry, Finance, Agriculture, Energy, Environment, ICT, Labour, and related sectors.
  • Preparation of concept notes, analytical notes, and background documents for India’s forthcoming BRICS Chairship.
  • Drafting outcome documents for BRICS meetings and assisting in negotiation processes.
  • Drafting documents during negotiations and tracking country positions on relevant subjects.
  • Preparation of presentations, interventions, position papers, media and website content.
  • Coordination with BRICS countries, international organizations, and line ministries.
  • Recording minutes of meetings and supporting Sherpa-level engagements.
  • Research and documentation work related to BRICS initiatives.
  • Any other task assigned by the Head of the Division.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Applicant must be an Indian National.

Educational Qualification

Master’s degree or higher from a reputed Indian or International University in Economics, Development Cooperation, Development Partnership, International Relations, International Law, International Development, Strategic Studies, Public Administration, International Trade, Environment and Climate, Agriculture, Labour Economics, Energy, Health, Disaster Management, Anti-Corruption, or any related subject.

Experience

  • Minimum one year experience as a Consultant in a relevant field.
  • Experience in policy making, advocacy, analytical writing, speech writing, and negotiation strategy.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Age Limit

The applicant should not be more than 35 years of age as on the last date of submission of application.

Salary and Remuneration

  • Consolidated remuneration up to a maximum of ₹10,00,000 per annum.
  • Applicable taxes will be deducted as per rules.
  • No HRA or additional allowances admissible.
  • No entitlement to PF, pension, gratuity, medical facilities, promotion, or seniority.

Working Hours and Leave Policy

  • Normal working hours: 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM.
  • Saturday and Sunday are weekly off.
  • Paid leave: 1.5 days per completed month.
  • Maximum 10 days leave allowed at one time.
  • No leave encashment; unutilized leave lapses.
  • Working beyond office hours or on holidays does not attract extra remuneration.
