Application Process

1. Apply online only through the JKSSB official portal.
2. Upload required documents like domicile, category certificate, etc.
3. No hard copy submission is required.
4. Keep a printed copy of the application form for document verification.

Eligibility Criteria

• Domicile: Must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir with a valid certificate before 13.01.2026.
• Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (4 years) in any one of the following disciplines:
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Telecommunication Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Mechatronics
  • Data Science
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Cyber Security
• Physical Standards and PET: Mandatory and qualifying as per Annexure-B.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)

Reservation Details

• Reservation as per J&K Reservation Act and Rules.
• 15% horizontal reservation for women in non-gazetted posts.
• PwBD candidates are not eligible for these posts.
• Ex-Servicemen reservation applicable up to Pay Level-6E posts.

Note: Application fee once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Selection Process

1. Written Examination: Objective type, English medium, with ¼ negative marking per wrong answer. NCC candidates eligible for bonus marks (A: +2%, B: +3%, C: +5%).
2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Qualifying only.
   • Male: Height 5’6”, Chest 32"–33½"
   • Female: Height 5’2” (2” relaxation for Gorkha/Bot Tribe)
3. Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying only.
   • Male: 1600m in 6½ min + 20 push-ups
   • Female: 1000m in 6½ min + Shot put (4 kg, 14½ ft, 3 attempts)
   • Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen based on age.
4. Medical Examination: Conducted for shortlisted candidates.
5. Document Verification: Original and photocopies required; failure leads to cancellation.

Other Important Instructions

• All entries (name, parent’s name) must match the matriculation certificate.
• Corrections in the form are not allowed after submission.
• Admit Cards will be available online only.
• Fake or forged documents will result in debarment and legal action.
