The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai, located in Durg district of Chhattisgarh, invites online applications for the position of Project Assistant (Technical) at the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF). Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and experience requirements to be eligible for this post:

Essential Qualification:
  • B.Sc. in Science discipline (Physics/Chemistry) or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) of three years duration with a minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • OR Four-year BE/BTech in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) or M.Sc. in Science (Physics/Chemistry)
Relevant Experience:
  • Experience in laboratories of reputed Engineering/Technical Institutes of National Importance such as IITs, IISERs, IISc, NITs, or equivalent Central Government Institutions.
  • Working knowledge in computer applications, electronic instruments, and handling, repairing, and maintenance of sophisticated instruments.

  3. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email for the interview and/or written or computer-based trade test.
  4. Candidates must bring original certificates, mark sheets, experience certificates, and proof of age and identity for verification along with self-attested photocopies.
  5. Two recent passport-size color photographs must be brought during the interview/verification.

Selection Process

  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on eligibility and may be called for a written or computer-based trade test followed by an interview.
