Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOP&NG), Government of India. HPCL is engaged in Refining, Storage, Distribution, and operates a vast marketing network consisting of Refineries, Zonal Offices, Regional Offices, Terminals, Pipeline Networks, Aviation Service Stations, LPG Bottling Plants, and Inland Relay Depots spread across India.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must be registered and approved on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT).
  • Engineering Graduates in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation streams who have completed graduation after 01-04-2023 onwards are eligible.
  • Candidates who completed engineering prior to 01-04-2023 are not eligible.
  • Minimum Marks: 60% aggregate for UR/OBC-NC and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Degree must be recognized by UGC/AICTE/Board of Technical Education or equivalent authority.
  • Candidates previously engaged as Apprentice or undergoing apprenticeship elsewhere are not eligible.
  • Candidates with one year or more work experience are not eligible.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years (as on 02-03-2026)
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD (VH/HH/OH/MD).

Selection Process

  1. Screening based on merit percentage as per eligibility criteria.
  2. Shortlisting in ratio 1:5 for Document Verification.
  3. Document Verification.
  4. Preparation of Merit List.
  5. Signing of Tripartite Apprenticeship Contract on NATS website.
  6. Submission of Medical Certificate and Police Verification.
No TA/DA will be paid for document verification.

  3. Login credentials will be sent via email.
  4. Fill personal, contact, and qualification details.
  5. Select only one state preference.
  6. Upload passport-sized photograph and signature.
  7. Preview, accept declaration, and submit application.
  8. Confirmation email with HPCL Application Number will be sent.
Candidates are NOT required to submit hard copy of application form.

Reservation Details

  • Reservation applicable as per Government Guidelines and Apprentices Act, 1961.
  • Applicable categories: SC, ST, OBC-NC, PwBD (VH/HH/OH/MD).
  • OBC Creamy Layer candidates must apply under UR category.
  • Valid caste certificate required in prescribed format.
