The recruitment is for the post of Junior Project Executive (JPE) on contract basis in the following disciplines:

Employment Type

All positions are purely on contract basis initially for a period of 3 years, extendable up to 1 year depending on organizational requirements and individual performance. These are not permanent posts, and there is no assurance of regular employment after completion of the contractual tenure.

Salary Structure

4th Year (Extended Tenure) ₹55,000

Note: 70% of the consolidated pay will be considered as Basic Pay for calculation of statutory benefits.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Full-time Regular B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering – 4 years) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Civil from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in relevant field. Apprenticeship training in any industry shall also be considered as experience.
  • Equivalent Degrees: Lateral entry to 3rd Semester of 8 Semester course or 2nd year of 4 years course will be considered. Integrated 5-year professional technical degrees after 10+2 are also eligible.

Note: Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Agniveers as per Government of India guidelines. Apprentices/Advance Trainees of GSL will also receive relaxation equal to their training period.

Reservation Details

Reservation is provided as per Government of India norms. Reserved category candidates may also apply against UR posts but will be treated as General category candidates with no relaxation. Candidates must submit valid certificates in the prescribed format.

  • SC/ST/OBC(NCL) candidates must provide valid caste certificates.
  • PwBD candidates must submit valid disability certificates under Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
  • EWS candidates must provide valid EWS certificates for the financial year 2024-25.
  • Ex-Servicemen can also apply subject to eligibility criteria.

Application Fee

₹500/- (Non-refundable) to be paid online through SBI e-pay using debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Exempted Categories: GSL apprentices, SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen.

Application Process

  1. Visit www.goashipyard.in → Notice Board → Careers → GSL Careers.
  2. Click on "Apply Now" and select the post to apply.
  3. Ensure scanned copies of required documents are ready before applying:
    • Passport size photograph (below 450 KB)
    • Signature on plain white paper (below 450 KB)
    • SSC certificate as proof of Date of Birth (below 500 KB)
    • Educational qualification certificates (below 1 MB)
    • Caste/Disability certificates (below 500 KB)
    • Experience certificates (below 1 MB)
    • Aadhaar card (below 500 KB)
  4. Pay application fee online through SBI e-pay.
  5. Download and print the auto-generated filled application form after submission.

Selection Process

  • Written Test: 25% General Aptitude + 75% Subject-related questions. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.
  • Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted in 1:5 ratio will undergo document verification.
  • Group Discussion/Interview: Qualifying marks: 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.
  • Final Merit: Written Test (85%) + GD/Interview (15%). In case of tie, interview marks will be considered, then written test marks, then age seniority.

Other Important Information

  • Posting may be at GSL or any other GSL project site in India or abroad.
  • Outstation candidates for Interview/GD will be reimbursed AC-II tier rail fare. SC/ST candidates will be reimbursed fare for written test also.
  • Application fee is non-refundable.
  • Management reserves the right to increase/decrease vacancies, cancel process, or modify criteria.
  • Jurisdiction for disputes: Goa only.
