Project Title: Piloting environment friendly ultraviolet-c light emitting diode technology for safe drinking water

The selected candidate will work on the development of safe and robust point-of-use (POU) water purifiers. The research involves concepts such as adsorption, photolytic and photocatalytic processes, disinfection technologies, and sustainable implementation in rural areas. The aim is to enhance access to safe drinking water and reduce waterborne diseases.

Salary / Fellowship Details

Duration	Fellowship Amount
First 2 Years	₹37,000 per month
3rd to 5th Year	₹42,000 per month

Eligibility Criteria

Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences including Chemical Sciences (Physical, Inorganic, Organic, Analytical Chemistry), Biological Sciences (Microbiology), or Environmental Sciences.
OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Courses such as M.Tech in Biotechnology or Environmental Science/Technology.
Candidates must be selected through any one of the following:
- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship)
- GATE
- National level examinations conducted by central government departments/agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
