Salary / Fellowship Details

Post Monthly Remuneration
Project Associate – I ₹31,000 + 18% HRA (for NET/GATE qualified candidates)
₹25,000 + HRA (for candidates without NET/GATE)
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) ₹20,000 per month
Project Assistant ₹20,000 + 18% HRA per month

Eligibility Criteria

Project Associate – I

  • First Class M.Sc. in Botany / Plant Biotechnology / Plant Physiology / Ecology / Forestry
  • OR First Class M.Sc. in Agriculture with specialization in Seed Science & Technology
  • Selection through CSIR-UGC NET / GATE or national-level selection process conducted by Central Government agencies

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • First Class M.Sc. in Forestry
  • Desirable experience in management of weeds, invasive species, plantation management, and ecology

Project Assistant

  • B.Sc. in Botany / Plant Science / Forestry / Environmental Science

Age Limit (as on 01 June 2025)

Project Associate – I Maximum 35 Years
Junior Research Fellow Maximum 28 Years
Age relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Women, and Physically Handicapped categories as per Government of India rules.
