Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biological Science prior to obtaining Diploma or Degree.
  • Must possess any one of the following qualifications from a Government-recognized University/Institution:
    • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
    • Diploma in Laboratory Techniques (DLT)
    • Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT)
    • Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
    • M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) / PGDMLT / BMLT
  • Working knowledge of computer is mandatory.

Desirable Qualification

  • Minimum six months post-qualification experience in testing of blood and preparation of blood components.
  • Experience in a licensed Blood Bank is desirable.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications such as Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age Limit: 40 years
  • Age calculated as on: 01 January 2025
  • Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per Government of West Bengal rules.

Reservation Details

  • Reservation applicable as per Government of West Bengal norms.
  • Applicable categories: SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and EWS.
  • Valid caste certificate issued by the competent authority of West Bengal is mandatory.
  • Caste certificates issued outside West Bengal will not be accepted.
  • If caste certificate is not submitted or found invalid at any stage, the candidature will be treated as Unreserved (UR).
  • Only certificates issued within the State of West Bengal will be considered for reservation benefits.
