Detailed Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant should be a retired Bank Officer.
  • The retired Bank Officer should not be more than 64 years of age as on 15.04.2026.
  • Retired Bank Officers having a background of rural credit and branch exposure will be given preference.

  • The applicant should have retired on attaining superannuation from Bank's service as officer in Scale I and above for working as counsellor of FLC.
  • The post will be contractual in nature.
  • Candidate should preferably be resident of the local area in which the FLC is located.
  • His / her integrity should not have been doubtful during his / her service in the bank.
  • Counsellors are expected to counsel the public in all issues related with financial institutions.
  • Proficiency in local language, including reading, writing, speaking and understanding, is essential.
  • The applicant should have right aptitude / flair for training and rural development activities.
  • Educational qualification should be Graduate / Post Graduate degree from a UGC recognized University.
  • The applicant should possess satisfactory service certificate from the previous employer.
  • The applicant should be well conversant in the local language.

Experience and Preference Conditions

Selection Process

The selection is based on performance in the interview. The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final.

Applicant Declaration in Application Form

  • The applicant has to declare that he / she is physically fit to carry out duties of the FLC including continuous visits of villages and / or other places as per requirement of the Bank.

Declaration Required from Retired Employee of Public Sector Bank

  • The applicant has to declare that he / she retired from the concerned Bank on superannuation / voluntary retirement.
  • The applicant has to declare that no punishment / penalty was inflicted on him / her during the last five years of service in the Bank preceding retirement / VRS.
  • The applicant has to declare that no case of CBI or other law enforcement agency or any proceedings in any court of law is pending against him / her.

Employer Bank Certificate Requirement

Application without Employer Bank Certificate will not be considered.

The notification provides a separate employer bank certificate format for applications submitted by retired employees of Public Sector Banks.

The certificate is to certify that the information furnished by the applicant has been verified with his / her service records and found correct while in the Bank's service, that his / her integrity was beyond doubt, and that there is nothing on record that may render the candidate prima facie ineligible for the post of Financial Literacy Counsellor at Chandrapur / Wardha district.

The certificate must be signed and sealed by the competent authority.

The notification further specifies that the certifying officer should not be below the rank of Chief Manager in the HR department of the Regional / Zonal Office / Local Head Office or Head Office of the Employer Bank.
