Fish farming in Chamoli boosts rural incomes
Fish farming in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district has given a new direction to rural livelihoods. Over 10,000 farmers are now earning a good income by producing trout and other fish species. Around 350 raceways in the district produce nearly 70 tons of fish annually, making Chamoli an emerging hub for fish farming in the region.
