Bihar Cabinet approves Women Employment Scheme, women to get direct benefits
In a cabinet meeting chaired by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, the Women Employment Scheme was approved. Under this scheme, one woman from each family will receive an initial installment of ₹10,000 to start an occupation of her choice, and after six months, based on evaluation, she may be provided additional assistance of up to ₹2 lakh.
