नैनीताल में मंगलवार को हल्की बारिश के दौरान ही किलबरी रोड पॉलिटेक्निक कॉलेज के पास टूट गई। भूस्खलन के कारण रोड 20 मीटर दरक कर खाई में समा गई है। भूस्खलन के कारण सूखाताल, चीना हाउस, जुबली हॉल, गोपाला सदन, एटीआई, हाईकोर्ट, बलरामपुर हाउस, ओक पार्क, नारायण नगर, पिटरिया क्षेत्र को पानी आपूर्ति करने वाली लाइन पूरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हो गई है।

Kilbury Road near Polytechnic College broke down during light rain in Nainital on Tuesday. Due to the landslide, the road has cracked 20 meters and got into the ditch. Due to landslides, water supply line to Sukhatal, Cheena House, Jubilee Hall, Gopala Sadan, ATI, High Court, Balrampur House, Oak Park, Narayan Nagar, Pitaria area has been completely damaged.

राज्यपाल लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरमीत सिंह (से नि) ने राजभवन में उत्तराखण्ड के सबसे ऊंचे शिखर कामेट पर्वत पर पर्वतारोहण कर लौटी ‘हर शिखर तिरंगा’ अभियान की टीम से भेंट की। कर्नल आर एस जमवाल के नेतृत्व में मिले 7 सदस्यीय पर्वतारोहण टीम ने राज्यपाल को बताया कि रक्षा मंत्रालय के तत्वाधान में आयोजित किए जा रहे इस अभियान के अंतर्गत ‘हर शिखर तिरंगा’ की टीम देश के प्रत्येक राज्य की सबसे ऊंची चोटी पर चढ़ाई करके तिरंगा फहराने का कार्य कर रही है।

A 7-member mountaineering team led by Col. RS Jamwal told the Governor that under the campaign being organized under the aegis of the Defense Ministry, the 'Har Shikhar Tiranga' team is doing the work of climb the highest peak in each state of the country and hoist the tricolor.

कपकोट के डियोड़ी गाँव मे लक्ष्मण सिंह की गाय एक नाले में फंस गयी। सूचना पर तुरंत फायर की टीम साजो सामान से डियोड़ी गाँव पहुँची ओर रस्सियों की मदद से और स्थानीय लोगों के सहयोग से दो दिन पहले से फंसी गाय को करीब 100 मीटर नीचे गहरी खाई में से निकाल कर ऊपर सुरक्षित स्थान पर पहुँचाया गया, जिस कार्य की स्थानीय लोगो ने फायर टीम की कड़ी मेहनत की खूब प्रसंशा की गयी।

Immediately on information, the fire team reached Deodi village with equipment and with the help of ropes and with the help of the local people, the cow, which was stuck two days ago, was taken out of a deep ditch about 100 meters below and brought to a safe place, the work of which was done. मुख्य सचिव डॉ0 एस.एस. संधु ने बीते दिन सचिवालय में अधिकारियों के साथ ‘कैच दि रेन’ योजना के सम्बन्ध में बैठक लेते हुए अधिकारियों को मानसून सीजन के अगले तीन माह के लिए सम्बन्धित विभागों को टारगेट निर्धारित किए जाने के निर्देश दिए। मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि अगले सीजन के लिए भी कार्ययोजना इसी वर्ष तैयार कर ली जाए।
