अल्मोड़ा जिले के सोमेश्वर में भूकंप के कारण एक मकान की दीवार क्षतिग्रस्त हो गई। इसके साथ ही एक गौशाला भी क्षतिग्रस्त होने के कारण मलबे में चार जानवर दब गए। जिन्हें ग्रामीणों ने सुरक्षित बाहर निकाला। राजस्व उपनिरीक्षक हेमंत कुमार ने निरीक्षण कर नुकसान का जायजा लिया।

सीएम धामी की अध्यक्षता में सचिवालय में आयोजित जेल विकास बोर्ड की पहली बैठक में कारागारों में श्रम में नियोजित बन्दियों के न्यूनतम मजदूरी दरों को बढ़ाने का निर्णय लिया गया। बैठक में दैनिक पारिश्रमिक कुशल के लिए ₹67 रूपये से बढ़ाकर ₹85, अर्द्धकुशल के लिए ₹52 से बढ़ाकर ₹65 और अकुशल के लिए ₹44 रूपये से बढ़ाकर ₹55 दिये जाने का निर्णय लिया गया। बैठक में राज्य के सभी कारागारों में बेकरी यूनिट की स्थापना का भी निर्णय लिया गया।

श्री केदारनाथ धाम यात्रा पर आए एक श्रद्धालु का स्वास्थ्य खराब होने पर विवेकानंद अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था, जहाँ से चिकित्सकों द्वारा हायर सेंटर रेफर किये जाने को कहा गया। एसडीआरएफ टीम द्वारा त्वरित कार्यवाही करते हुए उक्त अस्वस्थ श्रद्धालु को स्ट्रेचर की सहायता से हेलीपेड पहुँचाकर हायर सेंटर भिजवाया गया।
