टिहरी से शर्मसार कर देने वाला मामला सामने आया है। मां ने बेटे को नौकरी नौकरी ढूंढ़ने के लिए कहा तो आकाश ने गुस्से में आकर अपनी मां के सिर पर डंडा मार दिया, जिससे उसकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। जिसके बाद आरोपी पूरी रात मां के शव के पास ही बैठा रहा। मामले का खुलासा तब हुआ जब सुबह गांव की एक महिला दूध लेने के लिए आरोपी के घर पहुंची। इसके बाद महिला ने अन्य ग्रामीणों को घटना की जानकारी दी।
