राज्यपाल लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरमीत सिंह (से नि) ने राजभवन में देहरादून में तैनात सेना की विभिन्न यूनिट के जवानों से मुलाकात कर उन्हें दीपावली की शुभकामनाएँ दी। राज्यपाल ने जवानों के साथ स्वल्पाहार भी किया। उन्होंने जवानों से बेहद आत्मीयता से बातचीत कर उनकी कुशलक्षेम पूछी। राज्यपाल ने कहा कि राष्ट्र सर्वोपरि की भावना से ओत-प्रोत हमारे जवान सीमाओं की रक्षा करने के साथ-साथ देश के सजग प्रहरी के रूप में हमारी हर समय देखभाल करते हैं।

Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) met the soldiers of various army units deployed in Dehradun at Raj Bhavan and wished them a happy Diwali. The Governor also had refreshments with the soldiers. He interacted with the soldiers very cordially and inquired about their well-being. The Governor said that our soldiers, imbued with the spirit of national supremacy, not only protect the borders but also take care of us all the time as vigilant sentinels of the country.
