उत्तराखंड में पहाड़ों से लेकर मैदान तक गुलदारों ने आतंक मचाया हुआ है। लगातार बढ़ रहे गुलदार के हमलों को देख वन विभाग भी अलर्ट मोड पर आ गया है। प्रमुख वन संरक्षक अनूप मालिक ने सभी डीएफओ की बैठक ली। बैठक में उन्होंने सभी डीएफओ को मानव वन्यजीव संघर्ष को रोकने के लिए नई रणनीति बनाने के निर्देश दिए। इसके साथ ही सभी डीएफओ को हिदायत भी दी कि जल्द से जल्द इस पर काम किया जाए।

राज्यपाल लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरमीत सिंह (से नि) से उत्तराखंड सदन नई दिल्ली में सीडीएस (चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ) जनरल अनिल चौहान ने मुलाकात की। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा, सैनिक कल्याण और विभिन्न सुरक्षा मुद्दों पर व्यापक चर्चा की। वहीं कश्मीर और सेना मुख्यालय में सैन्य सेवाओं के दौरान एक साथ बिताए गए पुराने दिनों को याद किया। राज्यपाल ने उन्हें उत्तराखंड आने का निमंत्रण भी दिया गया। उन्होंने कहा की हर उत्तराखंडी और भारतीय को उन पर बहुत गर्व है।

प्रदेश के कई जिलों में कड़ाके की ठंड अब जानलेवा होती जा रही है। टनकपुर में ठंड से करीब 55 वर्षीय व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई। पुलिस ने मृतक के शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया है। पुलिस प्रथम दृष्टया मौत का कारण ठंड मान रही है। फिलहाल पुलिस की टीम भी मृतक के पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट का इंतजार कर रही है।

नरेन्द्रनगर- रानीपोखरी बाईपास में डागर गांव के समीप एक सेलेरो गाडी अचानक अनियंत्रित होकर लगभग 3-4 सौ मीटर गहरी खाई मे गिर गई। सूचना मिलने पर फायर सर्विस यूनिट ने तत्काल घटनास्थल पर पहुंचकर, एसडीआरएफ, स्थानीय पुलिस तथा स्थानीय लोगों के साथ मिलकर रेस्क्यू कार्य किया। घटना में गम्भीर रूप से घायल को गहरी खाई से निकालकर एम्बुलेंस से हिमालयन अस्पताल जौलीग्रान्ट भेजा गया।

On receiving the information, the Fire Service Unit immediately reached the spot and carried out rescue operations along with SDRF, local police, and local people. In the incident, the seriously injured person was taken out from the deep ditch and sent to Himalayan Hospital Jolly Grant by ambulance.

शिक्षा मंत्री डाॅ0 धन सिंह रावत ने नैनीताल क्लब के सभागार में समस्त राजकीय विश्वविद्यालयों के कुलपति, रजिस्ट्रार, परीक्षा नियंत्रक, वित्त नियंत्रक, सचिव, अपर सचिव उच्च शिक्षा, निदेशक-उच्च शिक्षा एवं निदेशक संस्कृत शिक्षा के साथ बैठक में प्रतिभाग किया। बैठक में उन्होंने ‘एक प्रवेश, एक परीक्षा, एक परिणाम, एक चुनाव और एक दीक्षांत’ पर चर्चा कर अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए। ज्ञात हो कि नवीन शैक्षिक सत्र हेतु प्रथम सेमेस्टर के लिए 25 मई से 24 जून तक प्रवेश पंजीकरण शुरू हो जाएगा, जबकि 10 जुलाई से कक्षाओं का विधिवत संचालन शुरू होगा।
