Assistant General Manager (Product & Research – Forex & Rupee Derivatives)

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering customized financial solutions while ensuring that product offerings remain aligned with market dynamics and regulatory expectations.

Primary Functions:
  • Conduct research followed by the development of new derivative products in line with the prevailing market.
  • Evaluate the performance of products on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in marketing derivative products to clients.
  • Provide periodic updates to top management.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):
  • Lead conceptualization and development of new derivative instruments.
  • Conduct macroeconomic and interest rate research to support product suitability.
  • Prepare product notes, risk disclosures, and documentation for approval committees.
  • Evaluate product performance and recommend product positioning strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Risk, Legal, ITTSS, IAD) for compliance and approvals.
  • Work closely with CTMU/RTMUs to promote derivative penetration among corporate and retail clients.
  • Assist in automation and integration of compliance workflows.
  • Mentor AVP-level team members and contribute to strategic product planning.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fundamental and technical research across multiple asset classes.
  • Analyze macroeconomic trends, central bank policies, and geopolitical developments.
  • Generate financial models, valuation reports, and market outlook notes.
  • Track corporate earnings, bond yields, and currency fluctuations.
  • Collaborate with trading desks to align strategies with research outcomes.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):
  • Preparation of reports on equity markets, mutual funds, and macroeconomic events.
  • Create forecasts for Forex, crude oil, and interest rate markets.
  • Prepare quarterly updates for companies within the Bank’s investment portfolio.
  • Maintain databases and indicators relevant for financial analysis.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting: The Bank’s committee will set shortlisting parameters based on qualifications and experience. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee interview eligibility.
  2. Interview: Conducted for 100 marks; qualifying marks decided by the Bank. Only shortlisted candidates will be called.
  3. Final Merit List: Based solely on interview marks. In case of a tie, ranking will be done according to age in descending order.

Reservation and Disability Provisions

  • Reservation for SC/ST/OBC and PwBD categories will be as per Government of India guidelines.
  • Vacancies for OBC are applicable only for candidates of Non-Creamy Layer. Certificates must be issued between 01.04.2025 and interview date.
  • PwBD Reservation is horizontal within parent categories.
  • Suitable benchmark disability: Visual Impairment (Low Vision – VI-LV).
  • Only persons with 40% or more benchmark disability are eligible. Certificate must be issued by a competent authority in prescribed format.
  • Low Vision defined as visual acuity not exceeding 6/18 or less than 20/60 up to 3/60 or up to 10/200 (Snellen) in better eye, or limitation of field of vision subtending an angle less than 40° up to 10°.
