Contract Period

The engagement of Skill Assistant Professor will be purely on a contractual basis.
  • The initial contract period will be six months.
  • The contract may continue until a regular appointment is made, whichever occurs earlier.
  • The university may re-engage the Skill Assistant Professor based on work performance and conduct.
  • Such re-engagement cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
  • The university reserves the right to terminate the contract without assigning any reason.

Eligibility Criteria

The required qualifications and relevant experience will be determined as on the last date of receipt of application.

1. Skill Assistant Professor – Nursing

  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Nursing
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years teaching experience
  • Desirable: Ph.D. in Nursing

2. Skill Assistant Professor – Pharmacy

  • First Class B.Pharm degree.
  • Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in the appropriate branch of specialization.
  • The candidate must possess a basic degree recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.
  • The candidate must be registered in the register of pharmacists maintained by a State Pharmacy Council.

3. Skill Assistant Professor – Physiotherapy

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (B.P./T./B.Th./P./B.P.TH.).
  • Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (M.&P.Th/M.Th.P./M.Sc. P.T/M.P.T.).
  • Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university.

4. Skill Assistant Professor – Visual Arts and Japanese

  • Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in the relevant subject from a recognized Indian University or equivalent foreign university.
  • Candidate must have cleared NET / SLET / SET conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar accredited test.
  • Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree according to UGC regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
  • Ph.D. degree holders registered before July 11, 2009 shall be governed by previous regulations and may be exempt from NET/SLET/SET subject to specified conditions.
  • Candidates with Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among top 500 globally (QS, THE or ARWU rankings) may also be considered.

Reservation Policy

  • Reservation shall be applicable as per the policy of the Government of Haryana.
  • Reservation benefits will be given only to candidates who are domicile of Haryana State.
  • Applicants must submit valid reservation certificates issued by competent authorities.
  • Women candidates seeking reservation must submit certificate issued from the parental side.
  • EWS certificate must be issued after 31 March 2025 and valid for the year 2025-26.
  • Backward Class candidates must submit certificate confirming non-creamy layer status.
  • Ex-servicemen must submit eligibility certificate from the concerned Zila Sainik Board.
  • Reserved category candidates of other states will be considered only under the General Category.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the post of Skill Assistant Professor on contractual basis will be carried out through a structured recruitment process consisting of written examination, teaching skill evaluation and interview.

General Terms and Conditions

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Knowledge of Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matric level or higher is mandatory.
  • All qualifications must be obtained from recognized Boards, Universities or Institutions.
  • Candidates possessing qualifications from institutions declared fake or unrecognized will not be considered eligible.
  • The minimum essential qualifications indicated in the advertisement are the basic eligibility criteria and do not guarantee selection.
  • The university may conduct a screening test or written test for shortlisting candidates.
  • Candidates must secure at least 40% marks in the written test to qualify, while SC/ST/PWD candidates must secure at least 38% marks.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview in a ratio determined by the university.
  • The number of vacancies mentioned in the advertisement may increase or decrease at the discretion of the university.
  • The university reserves the right to fill or not fill any advertised post without assigning any reason.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending written tests, skill tests or interviews.
