Note: PwBD reservation is provided on a horizontal basis. Only candidates with at least 40% disability supported by a valid certificate are eligible for PwBD reservation.
Eligibility Criteria
All candidates must meet the following educational, age, and qualification criteria as specified in the official notification.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): Full-time BE/B.Tech/B.Arch in the relevant discipline from a recognized university/institute. Qualification must be recognized by UGC/AICTE.
- Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering): BA/BBA/B.Com/B.Sc./BCA degree from a recognized university.
- Diploma Apprentice: Full-time 3-year diploma in Engineering from a recognized institute.
- Trade Apprentice (ITI Pass): ITI qualification in relevant trades from NCVT/SCVT recognized institutions.
Minimum Percentage of Marks
- General / EWS: 60% aggregate marks
- SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwBD: 50% aggregate marks
If the essential qualification includes an Honours subject, marks of the Honours subject shall be considered. Otherwise, aggregate marks of all subjects shall be considered. In case of CGPA, a valid CGPA-to-percentage conversion formula must be uploaded.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years (as on 17 November 2025)
- Maximum Age: Not specified in the notification
Who is NOT Eligible?
- Candidates awaiting final results as on 17 November 2025
- Candidates below 18 years of age as on the cutoff date
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently pursuing apprenticeship training
- Candidates with 1 year or more job experience after acquiring the qualification
- Degree/Diploma candidates who completed their qualification before 17 November 2020 (older than 5 years)
- For ITI candidates: No restriction on year of qualification
Application Process
Candidates must apply through both the Apprenticeship Portal (NATS/NAPS) and the RITES Application Form as outlined below:
Step 1 — Register on Apprenticeship Portals

- NAPS (for ITI candidates): https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
Step 2 — Apply for Apprenticeship Under "RITES Limited"
After registering, candidates must log in to NATS/NAPS using their valid credentials and apply for apprenticeship openings under the establishment name "RITES Limited".
Step 3 — Submit Documents on RITES Application Form
After applying on NATS/NAPS, candidates must upload scanned documents to the RITES Application Form by 05 December 2025.

Required Documents (to be uploaded as a single PDF, max 10 MB)
- Mark sheets of all semesters/years and final passing certificate
- CGPA-to-percentage conversion formula (if applicable)
- Date of Birth proof (Aadhaar/10th Certificate/Driving License, etc.)
- Valid identity proof (Aadhaar/Voter ID/Driving License)
- Caste/Category Certificate in prescribed format (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD)
- Latest OBC-NCL certificate issued on or after 17 November 2024 (as per Central Government format)
- Latest valid EWS certificate (if applicable)
Important: Only one submission allowed. Multiple submissions will not be entertained. Documents must be uploaded only via RITES Application Form. Email or hard copy submission will not be accepted.
Selection Process
- Selection is purely merit-based
- No written test or interview will be conducted
- Merit list will be prepared based on aggregate marks of qualification
- In case of tie, candidates with older age will be given preference
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified through email from apprenticeship@rites.com
- List will also be uploaded at: https://www.rites.com
- Document verification will be conducted only at the time of joining
Note: Seats not filled in initial round may be filled in subsequent merit lists if sufficient eligible candidates are available.
General Instructions
- RITES has no obligation to offer employment after completion of apprenticeship
- Apprenticeship duration is strictly one year and will not be extended
- Reservation is as per Apprenticeship Rules and Government norms
- Apprenticeship contracts will be generated under NATS/NAPS portals
- Candidates must regularly check the RITES website for updates and corrections
- Management's decision will be final regarding eligibility, selection, or cancellation
- Merely being shortlisted will not confer any right to engagement
- Applications submitted after the last date will not be considered
