Eligibility Criteria (as on July 01, 2025)

  • Nationality: Indian citizens and eligible foreign nationals as specified, with certificate of eligibility from the Government of India where required.
  • Age Limit: 50 to 63 years (Born between July 01, 1962 and July 01, 1975)
  • Essential Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Essential Work Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in liaison/protocol duties during the last 5 years before retirement.
    • Must be retired from RBI or a Public Sector Bank in Mumbai.
    • Not eligible on lien/secondment basis.
  • Desirable Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and networking abilities. Preference for candidates with experience dealing with Mumbai-based agencies.

Job Profile

The Liaison Officer shall be responsible for:

  • Acting as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) embedded in Top Management Secretariats.
  • Ensuring seamless communication and expeditious follow-ups between departments.
  • Liaising with law enforcement and other government agencies.
  • Coordinating with the Protocol Unit and complementing their work.
  • Handling schedules and engagements of the Top Management.
  • Coordinating with Regional Offices and Departments for management tasks.
  • Handling liaison for visiting dignitaries.
  • Other assignments as directed by CGM & Secretary or Top Management.

Compensation and Benefits

Monthly Remuneration ₹1,64,800/- to ₹2,73,500/- (subject to taxes and bank discretion)
Annual Increase Based on inflation (effective from Feb 01 each year or as decided)
Leave 30 days per calendar year (pro-rata, no carry forward)
Working Hours Regular RBI office hours. No compensatory leave or pay for work beyond hours or on holidays.
Accommodation Not provided by the Bank
Travel/Halting Allowance As applicable to Grade ‘A’ or ‘B’ officer
Superannuation Benefits Not applicable
Mobile Phone Facility May be provided once during the contract, as per eligibility
Sodexo Card Optional, on payment basis
Medical Facility Access to RBI dispensary during contract period

PwBD Eligibility

The following categories of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are eligible to apply:

  • Category a: B (Blind), LV (Low Vision)
  • Category b: HH (Hard of Hearing)
  • Category c: OA, BA, OL, BL, SD/SI, OAL, BLA, BLOA, CP, LC, Dw, AAV, MDy

Selection Process

  1. Initial screening/shortlisting by a Screening Committee.
  2. Document verification for shortlisted candidates.
  3. Interview by RBI Services Board.
  4. Only shortlisted candidates will receive interview invites via email.
  5. Final decision on selection rests with RBI Services Board.
