Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

The applicant must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01 January 1962 for permanent settlement, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries for permanent settlement in India. Where required, a Government of India eligibility certificate is necessary.

Educational Qualification

The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university and should possess a valid mark sheet or degree certificate on the date of online registration.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience is required as a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force, or as a Gazetted Police Officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, or as Assistant Commandant of Paramilitary Forces such as BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, or SSB.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 23 years
  • Maximum Age: 35 years
  • Date of birth range: Not earlier than 02.04.1991 and not later than 01.04.2003, both dates inclusive.

Age Relaxation

  • SC / ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-creamy layer): 3 years
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years
  • Eligible Ex-servicemen: 5 years
  • SC, ST, and OBC age relaxation can be combined only with one other eligible category as allowed in the notification.

  • Minimum qualifying marks in each section: 40% for UR and EWS, 35% for reserved categories.
  • Candidates must qualify both the written test and interview separately.
  • Final score will be prepared with 70% weightage for written test and 30% weightage for personal interview.
  • Interview call letter will be sent by email only.
  • Interview will be held at New Delhi unless otherwise specified.

Other Important Information

  • Present employees of Punjab & Sind Bank are not eligible.
  • Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India.
  • Candidates should have a healthy credit history and a minimum CIBIL score of 650 at the time of joining.
  • Probation period is 1 year.
  • Service bond period is 2 years.
  • Bond amount will be equal to 3 months’ gross salary in the applicable officer scale.
  • Government, PSU, and bank employees must produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
  • A valid discharge certificate or relieving letter from the present employer is required before joining.
  • No request for change of examination centre, interview date, time, or venue will be entertained.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
  • Any dispute related to this recruitment will be under the jurisdiction of courts at Delhi.
  • In case of interpretation dispute, the English version of the notification will prevail.
