Post Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be a bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• Candidate must have a minimum 40% permanent disability (Low Vision) with a valid certificate from District Medical Board or higher authority.
• Should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board/Institution.
• Should possess a Two-Year National Trade/Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of Binding from a recognized ITI or an institution recognized by Central/H.P. Government.
• Desirable: Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in local conditions.

Age Limit

Age between 18 to 45 years as on 1st January 2025. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) and further relaxations applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as per Himachal Pradesh Government norms.

1. Download the prescribed application form after 16 December 2025 from the official website (hppns.hp.gov.in).
2. Fill the application form completely and attach a passport-size photograph.
3. Attach self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents/certificates.
4. Send the application by Registered Post/By Hand to:
   Controller, Printing and Stationery Department, Ghora Chowki, H.P., Shimla-171005.
5. Envelope should be superscribed as “Application for the post of ………………… (name of the post)”.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the evaluation of merit according to weightage of marks as per the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, H.P. letter No. SJE-B(15)-03/2014-I dated 28 August 2017.

Reservation Details

The post is reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (Low Vision) under the Unreserved (UR) Category. Candidates must possess a valid disability certificate issued by a competent medical board in Himachal Pradesh.

Other Conditions

• Candidate must be a bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• Minimum 40% disability and certificate from District Medical Board or higher authority is mandatory.
• All certificates must be produced in original at the time of document verification.
• Incomplete or late applications will be rejected.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in document verification.
• Department reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any time.
• Jurisdiction of disputes lies in Shimla courts.
