Salary / Remuneration

• Maximum Monthly Remuneration: ₹9,250/- (approx.)
• Inclusive of conveyance and telephone charges
• Subject to satisfactory performance certified by RNU Head, Akashvani Shillong

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• Graduate with minimum two (02) years journalistic experience
• Candidate must be resident of concerned district headquarters or within 10 km radius
• Working knowledge of computer and word processing
• Must possess news gathering devices

Desirable Qualifications

• PG Diploma / Degree in Journalism / Mass Communication
• Experience in news coverage for electronic media

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 24 Years
• Maximum Age: 50 Years
• Age will be calculated as on the last date of advertisement

Selection Process

• Shortlisting of candidates based on application
• Written Test (if required)

Evaluation Criteria

• Journalistic aptitude and writing skills
• Familiarity with communication technologies

Engagement Terms

• Engagement will be on contractual retainership basis
• Initial performance monitoring period: 3 months
• Contract may be renewed monthly based on performance
• Yearly contract may be offered on satisfactory performance
• Maximum engagement up to 60 years of age

Important Instructions

• Candidates already working in Central/State Government, UT Administration, or PSUs are not eligible
• Members of any political party are not eligible
