Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification

• Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry such as MD or a recognized equivalent qualification in Psychiatry.

Desirable Qualifications

• Clinical and/or research experience in Telemedicine and/or Tele-training
• Experience of working with multidisciplinary research teams
• Indexed scientific publications

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work as Deputy/Assistant to the Senior Consultant and support them in all assigned functions.
• Provide specialist audio and video consultations under the Tele MANAS programme.
• Act as a Tier-2 specialist providing audio/video consultations to designated States and Union Territories.
• Undertake clinical, research, and academic responsibilities as assigned under the programme.
• Supervise Mental Health Professionals including Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, Psychiatric Social Work, and Nursing staff, as well as lay counsellors of the States.
• Assist PWMI and other users associated with the Tele MANAS platform.
• Develop curated modules and operational manuals for effective service delivery.
• Conduct or actively participate in high-quality scientific research in the field of tele mental health.

• The post is purely contractual in nature.
• Initial contract tenure is for six months with a possibility of extension for an additional six months.
• The role involves tele mental health service delivery, supervision, training, mentoring, and research activities across multiple States and Union Territories.
