Petronet LNG Limited (PLL) is India’s leading liquefied natural gas infrastructure operator, strategically positioned to drive the nation’s energy security. The company is backed by four Oil and Gas Maharatnas—Indian Oil Corporation, ONGC, GAIL (India), and BPCL—each holding equal 12.5% equity stakes.

PLL operates LNG terminals at Dahej (17.5 MMTPA capacity) and Kochi (5 MMTPA capacity). The company is currently undergoing a major expansion phase, including increasing Dahej terminal capacity to 22.5 MMTPA, developing a new LNG terminal at Gopalpur (5 MMTPA), and establishing a petrochemical complex at Dahej with propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) production units.

The company reported a turnover of Rs. 51,795 Crores and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 3,926 Crores for the financial year 2024-25.

Job Description & Responsibilities

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Dy. CEO) will play a crucial leadership role in advancing the company’s strategic priorities during a phase of expansion, diversification, and increasing operational complexity.

  • Strengthen the top management team.
  • Facilitate integrated decision-making across departments.
  • Coordinate with various functions to support MD & CEO.
  • Ensure timely implementation of critical decisions.
  • Drive achievement of strategic goals and objectives.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Full-time Engineering Graduate
  • OR Graduate with MBA / PGDIM / Postgraduate in Science, Commerce, or Business Administration with minimum 60% marks (CGPA ≥ 6/10)
  • OR Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant with minimum 50% marks

Work Experience

  • Minimum 25 years of post-qualification experience as on 02.04.2026
  • Minimum 5 years experience in last 7 years in Finance, Project Management, Business Development, Operations, Marketing, HR, or Corporate Strategy
  • Minimum 2 years experience at one level below the Board
Note: Relaxation is applicable for PSU and internal candidates. The experience criteria may be relaxed to two levels below the Board and the 2-year requirement may not apply in certain cases.

Age Limit

Maximum Age 55 Years (as on 02 April 2026)

  • Must be working in a regular (not contractual/ad-hoc) capacity
  • Must be employed in a listed company
  • Company should have an audited average annual turnover of ₹5000 Crore or more (last 3 financial years)
