• Athletics (Men): 1500 M
• Badminton (Women): Single
• Judo (Men): 100 Kg
• Lawn Tennis (Men): Player
• Shooting (Men): 10 M Air Pistol

Pay Scale and Employment Type

• Employment Type: Regular (Permanent)
• Probation Period: 2 Years
• Service Bond Duration: 5 Years

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Level 4/5: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Level 2/3: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent OR Matriculation with ITI / Apprenticeship / Diploma approved by NCVT / SCVT.
• Level 1: Passed 10th or equivalent OR ITI OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from NCVT.

Sports Achievements (Valid from 01.04.2023 onward)

• Level 4/5: Represented India in Olympic Games OR secured at least 3rd position in World Cup / World Championships / Asian Games / Commonwealth Games / Youth Olympics.
• Level 2/3: Represented India in World / Asian / Commonwealth Games OR secured 3rd position in National / Inter University / Federation Cup / All India Championships.
• Level 1: Represented Country in recognized International events OR secured 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships OR represented State with at least 8th position in Senior Nationals.

All championships must be held under the aegis of recognized International or National Sports Federations and recognized by the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB).

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 25 Years (as on 01 January 2026)
• Date of Birth Range: 02 January 2001 to 01 January 2008 (both days inclusive)
• Age Relaxation: No relaxation permitted

Reservation Details

No community-based reservation is provided in this recruitment as per Railway Board’s Master Circular (189-B/2010). All candidates will be considered on open merit basis. However, candidates from SC/ST/OBC/Minority/EWS categories may claim application fee relaxation and travel concession benefits as per rules.

Selection Process

• Recruitment will be based on trials and assessment of sports achievements.
• Candidates found FIT in trials will be considered for final selection based on merit.
• Medical fitness test by Railway Medical Authority is mandatory before appointment.

Distribution of Marks

Minimum Qualifying Marks

Final merit will be based on total marks. In case of a tie, the younger candidate will be given preference.

How to Apply

2. Click on the Sports Quota (04/2025) recruitment link.
3. Register using your name, father's name, Aadhaar number, mobile number, and email ID.
4. Login and fill all required personal, educational, and sports qualification details.
5. Upload a recent colour photograph (3.5cm × 3.5cm, 20–30 KB, JPEG) and signature (10–15 KB, JPEG).
6. Pay the applicable application fee online.
7. Upload all required certificates including Date of Birth, Educational, Sports, Caste, and Income Certificates.
8. Submit the form and keep the registration number for future reference.

Note: Only online applications are accepted. No hard copies need to be sent.

Other Important Conditions

• Selected candidates will be posted anywhere as per administrative requirements.
• Candidates must ensure consistency of their name across all certificates.
• Sports persons appointed as Clerks must acquire typing skills within four years.
• Use of performance-enhancing drugs or steroids is strictly prohibited.
• All disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Prayagraj.
• Only FIT candidates in trials will be considered for further stages.
