Besides emoluments as per the above pay scale, officers are entitled to facilities such as bank accommodation (subject to availability), medical reimbursement, telephone/mobile charges, knowledge allowance, furnishing benefits, conveyance allowance, housing loan, vehicle loan, LTC, gratuity, leave encashment, and coverage under the National Pension System (PFRDA rules).

Contractual Posts

Employment Type & Service Conditions

The recruitment includes both regular and contractual appointments. Selected candidates are liable to be posted or transferred anywhere in India as per the bank’s discretion. Contractual appointments are governed by the National Housing Bank Employees’ Conduct Regulations (1994) and Discipline & Appeals Regulations (1994), with rights of yearly review and termination by one-month notice from either side.

  • 12 days Casual Leave per year (max 4 days at a time; not carried forward)
  • 30 days Sick Leave (Half Pay) per year for contractual staff
  • Travel allowance as per officer grade (Scale III–VII) during outstation duties

Application Process

Candidates are required to apply online only through the official website of the National Housing Bank. Applications through any other mode will not be accepted. The entire process involves registration, document upload, and online payment of fees.

  1. Visit the official website www.nhb.org.in and navigate to the “Opportunities @ NHB → Current Vacancies → Recruitment of Officers in Various Posts – 2025-26/03 → Apply Online” link.
  2. Register using a valid email ID and mobile number. Note down the generated registration number and password.
  3. Fill in all required details carefully including personal, educational, and experience information.
  4. Upload the scanned copies of photograph, signature, left-thumb impression, and handwritten declaration (in English) as per specifications.
  5. Pay the applicable application fee using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, or UPI.
  6. After successful submission, download and print the system-generated application form and e-receipt for future reference.
Important: Candidates should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility criteria before applying. Incomplete or multiple applications will be rejected without notice.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India; or
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan; or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling; or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with intention of permanently settling in India and possessing a Government of India eligibility certificate.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Reservation Details

Total 10 vacancies (6 regular + 4 contractual) are available with reservation for SC, OBC (NCL), EWS, and PwBD categories as per Government of India rules. Two vacancies are earmarked for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (1 for Hearing Impaired and 1 for Intellectual/Multiple Disability).

Selection Process

  • For Senior Posts (DGM, AGM, CISO, Head L&D, Senior Tax Officer): Shortlisting by Screening Committee followed by Interview and/or Group Discussion.
  • For Assistant Manager (Audit & Learning & Development): Online Examination followed by Interview.
  • Final Merit List: Based on marks obtained in Interview or combined score of exam and interview as applicable. In case of tie, candidate with higher age will be ranked higher.
