Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s Degree in Geology or allied subjects with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• Must have cleared NET / SET / SLET or hold a Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations (2009 / 2018).
• Allied Subjects: Applied Geology, Paleontology, Geophysics, Earth Science, and Remote Sensing.
• Candidates must be Indian citizens.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 01 January 2026)
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC (MP Domicile), Female Candidates (MP Domicile), and other categories as per government norms.

Selection Process

1. Written Examination (Objective Type) — 400 marks
2. Interview / Viva Voce — 50 marks
3. Final Merit — Based on total 450 marks
4. Negative Marking applicable as per MPPSC rules
5. Syllabus as per UGC norms for Assistant Professor (Geology)
