Application Process

Candidates are required to apply online through the official IBPS website. Each post requires a separate application and fee payment. Essential documents such as photograph, signature, and eligibility certificates must be uploaded at the time of registration. No offline application is accepted.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality / Citizenship

  • Citizen of India, or
  • Subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
  • Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with intention of permanent settlement, or
  • Person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, etc., with eligibility certificate issued by Government of India.

Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; proficiency in local language; computer knowledge desirable
Officer Scale-I Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; preference for Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Marketing, IT, Management, Law, Economics, Accountancy
Officer Scale-II (General Banking) Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks; preference for Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, IT, Law, Economics, Accountancy Two years as an officer in a Bank/Financial Institution
Officer Scale-II (Specialist Officers) Relevant degree (IT, Chartered Accountant, Law, Treasury, Marketing, Agriculture) as specified in notification 1–2 years in relevant field
Officer Scale-III Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks; preference for Banking, Finance, Agriculture, IT, Law, Economics, Accountancy Minimum 5 years as an Officer in Bank/Financial Institution

Reservation Details

Reservation is applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC – Non-Creamy Layer), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen categories as per Government of India guidelines.

PwBD Categories covered:

  • Visual Impairment (Blindness or Low Vision)
  • Hearing Impairment (Deaf or Hard of Hearing)
  • Locomotor Disability (Leprosy Cured, Cerebral Palsy, Dwarfism, Muscular Dystrophy, Acid Attack Victims, Spinal Injury, etc.)
  • Intellectual Disability (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disability, Mental Illness)
  • Multiple Disabilities (Combination of above)
Note: Candidates with benchmark disability (≥40%) are eligible. Disability certificate from a competent authority is mandatory. Reservation is not applicable on temporary disability certificates.

Selection Process

The selection process involves multiple stages depending on the post applied for. All examinations are conducted online and include negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager)

Weightage: For Officers cadre, Online Exam and Interview weightage is 80:20.

Other Important Information

  • Credit History: Candidates must maintain a healthy credit history and minimum credit score as per RRB policy. Adverse reports without NOC from lenders may lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • Language Proficiency: For Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant posts, proficiency in the local language of the state applied for is mandatory.
  • Pre-Exam Training (PET): Available for SC/ST/OBC/Minorities/PwBD candidates as per guidelines. It may be arranged in online mode.
  • Validity of CRP: The validity of CRP RRBs-XIV will expire one year after provisional allotment or until a fresh allotment is made, whichever is earlier.
