Eligibility Criteria

Interpreter (SC)

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute
• C-Level Indian Sign Language Course OR Diploma in Indian Sign Language Interpretation
• Minimum three years of interpreting experience in an academic institution
• RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) Registration
• Sign Language Proficiency Test is compulsory
• Probation Period: Two years

Library Assistant (UR)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or Library & Information Science from a recognized University/Institute
• Minimum two years professional experience in a Library under Central/State Government, Autonomous Body, PSU, University, or recognized Research/Educational Institution
• Desirable Qualification: Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized institution
• Probation Period: Two years
• The incumbent must acquire ‘A’ Level Indian Sign Language Course within two years from the date of joining

Age Limit

• Maximum age: Below 35 years as on 23 February 2026
• Age relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years
• Age relaxation for OBC: 3 years
• Age relaxation for Government/Semi-Government/PSU/Autonomous Body employees: 5 years
• Age relaxation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years

Application Process

1. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) only.
2. Application can be sent by post or submitted by hand.
3. The envelope must be sealed and superscribed with “Application for the post of …………, Advertisement No. …………, Sender’s Address …………”.
4. Applications must reach the Director, ISLRTC on or before 23 February 2026 up to 05:00 PM.
5. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will be rejected.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting based on qualifications and experience
• Written Test / Skill Test / Interview as decided by ISLRTC
• Document Verification
• Police Verification
• Medical Fitness Certificate from an authorized Government Medical Officer

Important Instructions & Conditions

• Candidates already in Government service must apply through proper channel and submit NOC at the time of test/interview.
• No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for attending written test or interview.
• All appointments are subject to New Pension Scheme (NPS).
• Admission to any stage of selection is purely provisional.
• ISLRTC reserves the right to cancel, modify, increase or decrease the number of posts without assigning any reason.
• English version of the notification shall prevail in case of any dispute.
• All posts carry All India Service Liability.
