Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, is conducting walk-in interviews for eligible and qualified hospitality professionals for engagement as “Hospitality Monitors” on a Fixed Term Contract basis. The appointment will be initially for two years and may be extended for one additional year based on performance and requirement.

Designation: Hospitality Monitors (Contractual)
Number of Posts: 46 (Reservation as per Government of India policy)
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract (Initially for 2 years, extendable by 1 year)

Remuneration and Allowances

Total CTC: ₹30,000/- per month (including statutory deductions and other allowances)
Daily Allowance: ₹350/- per day when on duty onboard in trains (100% for more than 12 hrs, 70% for 6–12 hrs, 30% for less than 6 hrs)
Lodging Charges: ₹240/- per night (if night stay is involved at outstation)
National Holiday Allowance: ₹384/- per National Holiday (if worked)
Medical Insurance Reimbursement: ₹1,400/- per month (up to 35 years), ₹2,000/- per month (36–50 years) subject to submission of valid documents

Place of Posting

The selected candidates may be posted in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. However, they can be deployed anywhere in India at the discretion of IRCTC.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification	Candidate must possess any one of the following full-time degrees from recognized institutes/universities: B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration from CIHM/SIHM/PIHM affiliated to NCHMCT / UGC / AICTE / Government of India BBA/MBA (Culinary Arts) from Indian Culinary Institutes under Ministry of Tourism B.Sc. in Hotel Management & Catering Science from Government-recognized universities affiliated to UGC/AICTE MBA (Tourism & Hotel Management) from Government-recognized universities affiliated to UGC/AICTE
Experience	Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the hospitality or catering field is mandatory.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)	UR (General): Maximum 28 years OBC: Relaxation of 3 years SC/ST: Relaxation of 5 years PwBD: Relaxation of 10 years Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation equal to defence service duration + 3 years
Nationality	Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
Desirable Skills	Knowledge of MS Office, report preparation, communication skills, problem-solving and decision-making ability.

Reservation Details

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS/Ex-Servicemen categories will be as per the Government of India norms.

Application Process

Candidates must fill out the application form attached with the official notification and submit it at the venue during the walk-in interview.

Submit the completed form with original documents, one set of self-attested copies, and two passport-size photographs.
The selection will be based on interview performance and verification of documents.
A reserve panel of 46 additional candidates will also be prepared.

Selection Process

Candidates will be evaluated based on their credentials and performance during the personal interview. The final offer of engagement will be made according to merit, number of vacancies, and verification of antecedents. Pre-employment medical fitness is mandatory for all selected candidates.

General Terms and Conditions

This engagement is purely on a fixed-term contractual basis and does not guarantee permanent employment in IRCTC.
The contract may be terminated by either side by giving one month’s notice (15 days if performance is unsatisfactory).
The selected candidate must furnish a security deposit of ₹25,000/- in the form of a Demand Draft. If service is discontinued before completing one year, the amount will be forfeited.
Knowledge of computer operations and MS Office is desirable.
Employees of Government/PSUs must apply through proper channel or submit NOC/relieving letter at the time of interview.
IRCTC reserves the right to cancel or amend this advertisement or the selection process without prior notice.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.

Scope of Work

Supervision and monitoring of food production, quality and services in trains (Vande Bharat, Express, Tourist, Bharat Gaurav, etc.).
Monitoring of catering operations in base kitchens, cluster kitchens, and static units.
Ensuring hygiene, pest control, and cleanliness in pantries.
Ensuring proper equipment functioning and material availability.
Managing customer complaints and feedback.
Ensuring compliance with company policies and hospitality standards.
Coordination with departments, vendors, and service providers.
