Indian Overseas Bank (A Government of India Undertaking), headquartered at 763, Anna Salai, Chennai – 600002, has released Advertisement No. HRDD/RECT/03/2025-26 dated 12.09.2025 for the recruitment of 127 Specialist Officers in Middle Management Grade Scale (MMGS) II & III.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality / Citizenship

  • Citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01.01.1962 with the intention of permanently settling
  • Person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries etc. with eligibility certificate from Government of India

Educational Qualification & Work Experience

Minimum 60% marks required in graduation/post-graduation. Detailed post-wise educational qualifications and experience requirements are provided in the official notification.

Age Limit (as on 01.09.2025)

  • Manager (MMGS II): 25 – 35 years
  • Senior Manager (MMGS III): 30 – 40 years
Age Relaxation
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
  • PwBD: +10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen/ECOs/SSCOs: +5 years
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots: +5 years

Pay Scale and Emoluments

Allowances include DA, HRA, CCA as per rules. Additional benefits: conveyance, newspaper, telephone/mobile, entertainment, furniture, and leased accommodation. Probation: 2 years. Service Bond: ₹2,50,000 for a minimum of 3 years service.

Post-wise Educational Qualifications and Experience

Age: 25–35 years | Qualification: MCA/BE/B.Tech (IT/CS/Cyber Security) + CISA/CISSP | Experience: 2–3 years IS Audit/IT Security.

Age: 30–40 years | Qualification: MCA/BE/B.Tech (IT/CS/Cyber Security) + CISA/CISSP | Experience: 4–6 years IS Audit/Security.

  • Manager (Civil/Architect/Electrical/Automobile/Printing) – BE/B.Tech in respective discipline, 3 years experience.
  • Manager (Treasury) – Graduate + MBA/CA/CFA, 2 years experience in Treasury/Trade Finance.
  • Manager/Senior Manager (Corporate Credit) – Graduate + MBA/CA, 3–5 years experience in Credit Assessment.
  • Manager/Senior Manager (IT) – BE/B.Tech/MCA, 3–5 years in Software Development/Database/Networking/Data Center.
  • Manager/Senior Manager (Risk) – CA/MBA/FRM, 2–4 years experience in Risk/Credit/Finance.
  • Manager/Senior Manager (Information Security) – BE/B.Tech/MCA + CISA, 2–4 years Cyber Security/IS Audit.
  • Software Engineers (Mobile Apps/Automation/.Net/Java/ML Ops) – BE/B.Tech/MCA, 3–5 years experience in development and security.
  • Manager/Senior Manager (Data Scientist/Data Engineer) – BE/B.Tech/MSc (Data Science/AI), 3–5 years experience in data projects.

  • SC/ST/PwBD: ₹175 (intimation charges only)
  • All Others (UR/OBC/EWS): ₹1000

Selection Process

  1. Online Examination (100 marks, 2 hours, negative marking of ¼ for wrong answers)
  2. Personal Interview
  3. Final Selection based on combined performance of Online Exam & Interview

  • English Language – 25 questions, 25 marks, 30 min
  • General Awareness (Banking reference) – 25 questions, 25 marks, 30 min
  • Professional Knowledge – 50 questions, 50 marks, 60 min
