Job Location

Salary / Emoluments

• ₹31,000 per month + HRA for candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, AICTE / ICAR NET, or any other National / State level eligibility tests approved at the time of joining.
• Revised wages of ₹31,000 will be paid from the date of qualification if the candidate clears the eligibility test after joining the post.
• ₹25,000 per month + HRA for candidates who do not fall under the eligibility test category mentioned above.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification

• Master’s degree in Veterinary Science / Animal Science / Fisheries in any discipline.
• Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences with PG Diploma in Feed Manufacturing Technology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Technology (B.Tech) in Poultry Production Technology / Food Processing / Agricultural Engineering / Fisheries Engineering from a recognized university.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualifications

• M.V.Sc. in Animal Nutrition or Livestock Products Technology
• M.F.Sc. in Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology
• M.Tech in Poultry Production Technology / Food Technology / Fish Process Engineering / Agricultural Engineering / Farm Machinery / Processing and Food Engineering
• Knowledge of computer operation and accounting software
• Typing skills
• Work experience in feed mills or food processing units
• Research experience in Feed Technology
• NET / GATE or other approved eligibility tests
• Ability to read, write and speak Tamil language

Age Limit

• Maximum age limit: 35 years as on the closing date of application.
• Age relaxation up to 5 years is applicable for SC / ST / OBC / Women and other special categories as per the rules in force.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise, monitor and coordinate the operation and maintenance of the Feed and Fodder Technology unit.
• Procurement activities, feed evaluation and quality control.
• Maintain stock, stores, accounts and reports.
• Participate in teaching, research, extension, product development and validation activities related to feed and fodder technology.

Walk-in Interview Details

Application Process

• Interested and eligible candidates should attend the walk-in interview with a filled application form and passport-size photograph.
• Candidates must bring self-attested copies of all documentary evidence and supporting certificates.
• Original certificates must be produced during the interview for verification.
• If original certificates are not available, certified copies issued by the custodian of the certificates may be produced.
• Applications are not required to be sent in advance.

Important Instructions

• No TA or DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Candidates must arrange their own transportation, boarding, and lodging.
• Applicants already employed must submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
• The selected candidate must join the post immediately within the prescribed time.
• The selected candidate must work on a full-time basis.
• The candidate will be required to work on Saturdays and will be eligible for leave as per TANUVAS rules.
• The candidate must have a valid two-wheeler driving license at the time of joining.
• A medical fitness certificate must be submitted at the time of joining.
• The candidate must give prior intimation of 30 days before leaving the job.
• The decision of the Selection Committee regarding eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications will be final and binding.
• No enquiry or correspondence regarding the selection process will be entertained.
