Project and Position Details

Title of Project	CO-INVENT: Cooperative project between India and Norway on studying cryo-climatology of the glaciated Himalayan region.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification: M.Tech in Geomatics / Remote Sensing and GIS / Hydrology / Geotechnical Engineering OR M.Sc. in Geology with experience in Remote Sensing / GIS / Glaciology.
Additional Requirement: Candidate must have a valid GATE / NET / JRF qualification.
Desirable Experience: Experience in hydrological modeling, geospatial analysis, and SAR data analysis. Basic understanding of the cryosphere/glaciology will be considered suitable.

Salary and Duration

Monthly Emoluments	₹37,000/- + HRA (as per suitability and experience of the candidate)
Project Duration	Three years or till the completion of the project (whichever is earlier)

Job Description

The selected candidate will be involved in glaciology, cryosphere studies, snowmelt runoff modeling, and geospatial data analysis as part of the ongoing CO-INVENT project between India and Norway.
