Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in Journalism, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Computer Application, Management, Business Administration, Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Digital Media, or Communication Technology.
  • OR Graduate with 55% marks plus Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Media, Journalism, Mass Communication, Computer Application, Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Strategic Branding, Media Relations, or Digital Media.
  • Candidates who have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC will be preferred.

Essential Experience

  • Minimum one year of teaching or industry experience in a relevant discipline.

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

For M.A. in New Media Communication

  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a reputed Digital Media organization.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro.
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics, Data Visualization, and CMS tools.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate or postgraduate students.

For PG Diploma in English Journalism

  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
  • 1 year experience in reputed English-language media organization.
  • Teaching experience with proficiency in English.

For PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism

  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
  • 1 year experience in reputable Hindi-language media organization.
  • Teaching experience with proficiency in Hindi.

For PG Diploma in Corporate Communication & Brand Management

  • Ph.D. in relevant field.
  • 1 year experience in a reputed media organization.
  • Teaching experience with proficiency in English, Hindi, or Odia.

Age Limit

  • Preferably below 40 years as of the last date of receipt of application.

  3. A physical copy of the application along with a Demand Draft of ₹500 must reach the Deputy Registrar, IIMC, New Delhi.
  4. Demand Draft must be drawn in favour of “Indian Institute of Mass Communication”, payable at New Delhi.
  5. Applicants can apply for multiple campuses or multiple course positions by indicating them in the application form.
  6. Incomplete applications or those without the required fee will be rejected.

Selection Process

  • The selection will be conducted through an online interview.
  • Interview schedule and platform details will be provided to eligible candidates.

Other Terms & Conditions

  • Engagement is purely temporary and on a contract basis.
  • Continuation beyond the academic semester is linked to satisfactory performance.
  • One month’s notice or one month’s salary is required for termination from either side.
  • No right to claim for future regularization.
  • Biometric attendance will be mandatory.
  • Number of positions may increase or decrease as required.
